Meet Our Adorable Alien in a Dog Suit: A Heartwarming Tale of Extraterrestrial Puppy Love!

What is a whippet black lab mix?

Whipador

The Whipador is a mixed breed dog resulting from crossing a Whippet and a Labrador Retriever. As a mixed breed, their temperament and characteristics can vary depending on the traits inherited from both parent breeds. It's important to research and understand the characteristics of both Whippets and Labrador Retrievers to have a better idea of what to expect. Additionally, it's worth noting that not all Whipadors are a perfect 50/50 mix of the parent breeds, as breeders may also produce multi-generation crosses.

How A.J. came into our lives.

We received a call from a friend of a friend that they needed our help. She worked for a German Shepard rescue and her boss found this dog behind a bar eating out of a dumpster. They didn’t have room for her and all the non-kill shelters were full. So, it was possibly us or a kill shelter. We couldn’t have that so we said sure bring the dog over. AJ became a part of our lives and she makes every day better.

Some of her personality

She is of course mostly a sight hound so a big couch potato and snuggle puppy. She also isn’t sure what a dog is or is supposed to do, hence the alien in a dog suit. She also loves to play and she learned how to talk like this when she is frustrated with us from our Grate Dane mix fur baby that left us a few years ago for the doggy park beyond. 

She is also our blanket dragon with her hoard of crocheted blankets. Ask Jenn about her battle with AJ over blankets.
