Downsizing, Learning, and Gearing Up

Hello friends,

Things have been moving quickly around here—we’re in full decluttering, purging, and downsizing mode as we prepare for the next chapter of Bark Adventures. Every closet cleared and every box donated feels like one step closer to life on the road.

Our goal? To officially be traveling either this autumn or by early next year. The excitement is real, but so is the reality check—downsizing is no small task!

πŸ“ Learning Along the Way

As we prep, I’ve been spending some time going back through my saved Pinterest posts for tips and tricks. One resource I really want to highlight is RV blogger Samantha Brown and her article 9 Mistakes that Newbie RV Campers Make. It’s full of practical advice, and I’m grateful to voices like hers that make starting this lifestyle a little less overwhelming.

🐾 Safe Travels for A.J. & Destiny

Of course, our Bark Adventures wouldn’t be complete without A.J. and Destiny, and making sure they’re safe and comfortable is a top priority. We recently got them new travel harnesses with seat belt buckle straps designed for the road.

  • A.J.’s harness is a bold bright orange—she looks like a little adventurer already.

  • Destiny’s harness is a classic red, perfect for her personality.

If you’re curious, here’s the exact style we chose: dog travel harness with seat belt buckle.

🌟 What’s Next

The to-do list is still long, but every day we get a little closer to turning this dream into reality. Downsizing isn’t just about letting go of “stuff”—it’s about making room for new experiences, new adventures, and more memories with the pups.

We can’t wait to share the journey with you, from the first test trips to the full-time road life. Stay tuned—there’s so much ahead.

With love,
The Bark Adventures Crew (S. A. Crow, A.J., Jenn, & Destiny)
